The Steve Bilodeau Memorial Golf Tournament was bred out of a need for his family to continue his legacy of service after he lost his short battle with cancer in 2022. Steve was an electrician by Trade, but an entrepreneur at heart. He was born and raised in Wallaceburg, and had a huge heart for this community and the people who call it home. Steve owned and operated several businesses within Wallaceburg, and was always looking for an opportunity to give back. With such a huge living legacy, the loss was felt so deeply his family felt the immense need to continue on his great work in legacy of the wonderful man, husband, father, Grampie, and community builder that he was.
June 23rd 2023 marked the inaugural Steve Bilodeau Memorial Golf Tournament, which would have marked Steve’s 60 1/2 birthday. It was a beautiful day at Maple City Golf & Country Club. With Steve’s family, friends, and business partners present it was a rainy yet wonderful day on the course. The Bilodeau family could not be more grateful for the success of the inaugural event, and look forward to celebrating Steve’s legacy each year with a wonderful day on the course, raising funds for various community initiatives that were close to Steve’s Heart.
